Neutral Transitional
For this Neutral Transitional living room addition in my own home, I wanted to make a smaller footprint feel much larger by designing the space with super high ceilings and an open, airy feel. I blended traditional interior design elements with a more modern, simplified approach—keeping the lines clean, the palette neutral, and the overall look relaxed but intentional. I do love shiplap, so I incorporated it in a way that adds subtle texture and character without overwhelming the space. The height of the room draws your eye up and creates a sense of openness, while the layout keeps it comfortable and functional for everyday living. The result is a transitional living room that feels spacious, inviting, and thoughtfully designed without feeling overdone.
